Oloyede vs Osun Assembly: Hearing to Begin on Sept 15
Governor Rauf Aregbesola
Yinka Kolawole in Osogbo

Justice Yinka Aderibigbe of an Osun State High Court sitting in Osogbo has adjourned the case between Justice Folahanmi Oloyede against the state House of Assembly to September 15, 2015 for hearing.
A serving judge in the state, Justice Oloyede, had dragged the legislators to court for their recommendation in the probe of Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
Justice Oloyede, who levelled allegation of gross misconduct and mismanagement of public funds against the governor, condemned the outcome of the committee set up by the assembly to look into the allegation.
When the case came up on Thursday, counsel to the applicants, Mr. Lukman Ogunsetan, urged the court to open the case for hearing, saying his client was ready to prove the case.
But counsel to the 1st respondent (Speaker Najeem Salam), Ajibola Bashiru, objected to the hearing of the case, saying the process had not been duly served on the respondents.
Also, counsel to the 2nd to 10th respondents (the House committee), and counsel to the Osun Judicial Service Commission, who was also joined in the suit, Adedapo Adeniji, said the law provided that the process should be served on the respondents properly.
They however urged the court to adjourn the case for hearing to allow the applicant to serve them the process properly.
Justice Aderibigbe however adjourned the case to September 15 for hearing.
