4. Chief Security Officer: On Saturday, July 4, Mr Buhari fired his Chief Security Officer, Abdurahman Mani over ‘shady deals’ which was undermining the presidency as sources told The Cable.
The newspaper reported that Mr Mani had numerous allegations against him but the latest would have been leaking the itinerary of Mr Buhari to the former minister of petroleum, Dieziani Alison Madueke.
Mrs Madueke who usually traveled in private jets was in the same cabin as Mr Buhari on a British Airways flight to the United Kingdom in April 2015. If the CSO did indeed leak Pres. Buhari’s itinerary, Madueke’s presence on that flight was not a coincidence.
